Our Story
Murphy’s Irish Bar (マーフィーズ アイリッシュバー) in Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, has been pouring pints since 1993; proudly the first Irish pub in Japan opened by an Irish owner. That heritage still shapes everything we do: real hospitality, proper pours, and a buzz that feels like home whether you're local or just passing through.
Just 15 minutes from Sannomiya Station in Kobe, Murphy’s is a destination worth the short ride. Behind the bar you’ll find around 400 spirits, including 150 whiskies from across the globe and over 30 from Ireland alone. On tap? Perfectly poured Guinness and Kilkenny, plus a rotating lineup of craft beers.
Our spacious 1,000 sq. ft. venue holds up to 80 guests, making it ideal for everything from relaxed weeknight drinks to big celebrations. We host parties, special events, and live sports; rugby, football, and more, all on the big screen with the crowd energy turned up.
Come for one. Stay for the atmosphere.
